God’s Armor

SPEAK OUT WITH MONICA

We are created in Father God’s image. He breathed life into His creation Adam. To this day we have a void that can only be filled by the Lord, he is the missing piece, drugs, material things, sex, alcohol – cannot fill that void!
So, I ask, why, when we are so intricately made, created in His image, His very breath breathed into Adam…. are we so sinful?!
I know, we have free choice to follow Jesus or to reject Him. Even to follow Him, requires something’s from us.
We are spiritual beings in a body, and there is a spiritual world. if you readEphesians 6:10-18, you will find the answer to the “why” I asked above.

So the first thing we need to do daily is:
Ephesians 6:10-18
God’s Armor
“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day….. get your Bible and read the rest of the verses.
God’s armor brings us triumph/victory over the devil and his evil forces, it’s a shield, a protective covering. It’s the very beating heart of Jesus, it’s His very life.

“Put on the armor”, Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, Paul said “cloth yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ”. (Romans 13:12-14)
What happens when you do that, He becomes your covering, your hiding place, he shelters you in the storm you are going through. He is your shield. If you come out from under that covering, that is when the enemy has access to you and you can be influenced to make wrong choices. STAY under God’s covering… He promises to never leave you or forsake you!

We are spiritual beings in a body, and there is a spiritual world. if you read Ephesians 6:10-18, you will find the answer to the “why” I asked above.

Child Protection Services (CPS) putting children into Sex Trafficking is a Huge Problem (Part 1)

Human Trafficking is a hot subject and we need to keep it that way and keep it to the forefront until we stop this atrocity! Now, this article by Brian Shilhavy will blow your mind! Can you imagine a government agency that was created to help children and their families is a source for the human traffickers.

Think about this, a child is conceived and the choice for whether that child will live, or die is made by another. A child is taken from his/her parents into foster care, given to a relative or trafficked is again made by someone else’ choice. Whatever happens to that child from that point on is made by other people’s choice.

As I research this evil and dark issue, I’m more than ever passionate about bringing Trauma To Triumphant Family Ranches to fruition! It’s more than being a safe and supportive environment as a preventive to the trauma and loss of what is currently available, but it is a place of healing and restoration after a child or family is rescued.

Child Sex Trafficking through Child “Protection” Services Exposed – Kidnapping Children for Sex
by Brian Shilhavy Health Impact News Editor

In this Buzzsaw interview (below), filmmaker Sean Stone interviews Tammi Stefano, the Executive Director of The National Safe Child Coalition (NSCC) and exposes much of the corruption happening within Child Protection Services and Family Courts. This might be one of the few interviews currently available on the Internet that gives this much information on the child sex trafficking business that exists in LA County, and across the nation. Tammi Stefano reveals some very shocking information about the child and human trafficking business currently operating in the United States, which is a huge illegal business that brings in more money than the illegal drug trade and illegal arms trade combined.

Tammi Stefano has spent over two decades on front lines fighting for child safety. She understands the emotions of being victimized, having survived a kidnapping in her younger years. Determination was the driving force that prompted her to go undercover to catch a pedophile schoolteacher.

Child Protection Services Do Not Protect Children – Hundreds of Children Murdered in CPS Care

Picking up the interview at about the 9-minute mark, Stefano begins to explain that when there is an allegation of child abuse, law enforcement and child protection services (CPS) are the two entities that get involved. According to Stefano, the social workers working in child protection services across the country do not have the training to truly investigate child abuse, because child abuse is a crime. Stefano encourages the listeners of the program to call law enforcement, not CPS, if they encounter sexual or physical abuse of a child, because this is a crime, and CPS is not trained to handle crimes. Stefano says:

The minute you call child protection services, you can rest assured that the investigation will not be done properly. Chances are the child will not be protected.

She then gives the example of Los Angeles County, where in 2013 CPS took “thousands of children away from parents,” and that 570 children were murdered while in the care of CPS and away from their families.

Foster Children Bring in Great Profits to the State

At another point in the interview, Stefano relates how California benefits financially from having children in foster care. She states that adults who are incarcerated in the penal system on average cost the state about $48,000.00 per prisoner. Stefano gives one example she encountered where a Los Angeles judge sent one mom’s son to a “behavioral modification camp” because he was allegedly labeled “defiant.” He was given electro-shock treatments, and these treatments were billed to the mother at a cost of $7000.00 per week. Stefano stated that the mother is still making payments on these “treatments,” while her son is now 23, and she still has 10 years left on her payment plan. To this day she does not know where her child was sent for these “medical services.”

Los Angeles (LA) CPS Turning Foster Children Over to Known Sex Abuse Offenders

When Stone asked her who CPS was turning these children over to with such “gruesome” statistics, Stefano replied that what she discovered, and what the Los Angeles Times was kind enough to publish, was that 1000 “convicted sex offenders” had been given a “green light” by CPS to become “approved foster parents” just in Los Angeles County.

Child Protection Services (CPS) Putting Children into Sex Trafficking is a Huge Problem

At around the 25:15 point in the interview, Stone and Stefano begin to discuss the child sex trafficking problem. When Stone asks Stefano if she has encountered sex trafficking among children, she replies: “We need to cover it a lot more.”

As an example, she mentioned a sex trafficking case with CPS in Orange County California last year. Stefano says that of 105 sexually abused victims that were found in this case, 65% of those victims were in the foster care system under CPS control, and they were allegedly never reported missing. Stefano says:

What we are finding now is this trafficking is a lot bigger, and a lot more involved politically than we care to look at, or the media won’t cover. Everybody is afraid because there are some really big heavy hitters that are very influential that are involved.

Children have been sold, and there have been cases, where children have been sold up to 75 times in one day. 75 times in one day…. someone has abused this child.

Stefano then relates the following story:

Last year I had a case where a lovely young girl, a single mom – her mom was a great Italian woman who lives in Burbank. She was having some problems with her daughter. Her daughter started hanging out with the wrong crowd – good girl though – she just needed to be pulled back in.

So her mom calls a friend at the police department, and she says, “You know, let’s put a little scare – I want to do something. I want to make sure she is OK.”

He says, “You know, call Child Protective Services.”

“Ok, I’ll try it.”

She called Child Protective Services. They said, “We need to take her, and help out here.”

They put this child – gorgeous – I mean she looks like a model – 16 years old – (actually) 15 at the time – (and they put her) in this group home.

The mom goes to visit her. It was near the holidays. She feels like “Alright, she is going to learn her lesson. She’ll never mess up again. This is a hard-core lesson.”

Her daughter’s gone. Her daughter and three other beautiful young girls.

Now you have to be reminded that the gates around this group home, locally, are high. They are too high for anyone to escape, and they are locked electronically. You are not getting out. And there is a full staff.
While this staff says, “Gee, we were short staffed, and we just don’t know how this gate got open.”

This mother daily for over one year posted – I mean she came on my show. She did not stop looking for her daughter. Her daughter is home (now.) She found her through the efforts of a combined community effort. And she is still healing. She was passed on to more people – she was so abused. She was locked up. She was a prisoner.

Her and three others from a State-run (foster) group home. And how did the gates get open? It was near the holidays and they just don’t have an answer.

Stefano then talks about an organization called “The Humanitarian Alliance” and a report they have that found within 48 hours after a child has aged out of the foster care system, because they have become 18 and have left their foster homes, 65 to 70% of them are captured into human trafficking syndicates. Stefano believes the only way this can happen is because those inside the foster care system are helping to arrange it to happen, for a fee.

Visit their site and listen to the entire shocking interview below. Note that the first 9 minutes discusses a new TV show and the controversial issue of corporal punishment. At about the 9-minute mark is where they begin to discuss the abuses within CPS.

Federal law does not define sex trafficking per se. However, in the “severe forms of trafficking in persons,” as defined in the victims of Trafficking and Violence Act of 2000 (TVPA, P.L. 106-386) encompasses sex trafficking. “Severe forms of trafficking in persons” refers, in part, “(s)ex trafficking in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform the such an act has not attained 18 years of age…. “Experts generally agree that the trafficking term applies to minors whether the child’s actions were forced or appear voluntary.

I had to say all that to say this: in the report is goes on to say that it has been suggested that minor victims of sex trafficking-while too young to consent to sexual activity with adults- may at times be labeled as prostitutes or juvenile delinquents and treated as criminals rather than being identified and treated as trafficking victims. These children who are arrested may be placed in juvenile detention facilities instead of environment where they can receive needed social and protective services.

My opinion, is that children used and abused by adults should never be treated as criminals but always be treated as the victim and be placed in safe, caring programs that will tend to their needs and walk them through their trauma with compassion until they become whole and triumphant.

Steven Wagner, President, The Renewal Forum writes this: America today harbors a vast and terrible criminal enterprise that victimizes a very large number of children each year. The enterprise is known alternatively as human trafficking, a modern-day slavery, or, more precisely, the commercial sexual exploitation of juveniles.

Who are the men who drive this industry, “johns”, but by calling them this minimizes the damage, the trauma they inflict on the child.
An article in the

Fair Observer – Girls Like Us: Johns – The Men Who Buy Sex
If men know that the sex industry is harmful to girls and women, why do they participate in it?
*(Note: The following is an excerpt from Girls Like Us: Fighting for a World Where Girls Are Not For Sale, a memoir about Rachel Lloyd’s experiences as a survivor of commercial sexual exploitation and her work over the last 15 years running Girls Educational And Mentoring Services (GEMS)
“Johns”, who make up the millions of men in America who buy sex from children. Those who have been exploited by the sex industry know that Johns represent every walk of life, every age, every ethnicity, every social economic class. Judges, mailmen, truck drivers, firemen, janitors, artists, clergy, cops, drug dealers, teachers. Handsome and rich, poor and unattractive, married, single and widowed. Fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, uncles, and neighbors.

Calling these men “Johns” minimizes the harm they do. At the very least, they are statuary rapists and child abusers. I would encourage you to go to fairobserver.com to read the rest of the article.

Child Exploitation is a very real issue. It should spark an emotion in us that wants to get involved in some way. Empathy, compassion, passion, anger…. something rather than turn a blind eye and have our head in the sand like an ostrich.

Steven Wagner, President, The Renewal Forum writes in the same article that many children today are either throwaways or runaways. He writes, the situation must change. We cannot allow, either on moral or practical grounds, another cohort of children to be discarded by families, subjected to profound trauma and serial rape, and then when used up, thrown back on the street to fend for themselves. Such children are virtually assured of being incapable of achieving independent, fulfilling adult lives without help.

Where does this demand for children to serve as sexual objects come from? Who are the huge numbers of men willing to pay for sex with children? It is plausible, if unsubstantiated, that this demand derives in part from our national epidemic of pornography consumption. In particular, the United States is one of the largest producers and consumers of child pornography in the world.

It’s a conservative estimate that over a quarter million children are bought and sold for sex in the United States.
This horrific issue of human trafficking is a global one, some countries experiencing higher victims than others, I have only touched on the problem here in the United States but the theft of human life in exchange for money for a human, a real person, is prevalent and the need to bring this in the forefront of the public eye is essential to start making strides into finding a solution.

HUFFPOST.COM
A CHRISTIAN CALL to END HUMAN TRAFFICKING Nita Belles, Contributor Author, In Our Backyard: A Christian Perspective on Human Trafficking in the United States’ (August 2011) Numbers and percentages are much higher now.

There are more slaves in the United States today than at any time in history.
There is nothing the criminals involved in modern day atrocities of human trafficking and slavery– the recruiters, the traffickers, the pimps, and others want more than for decent people to remain ignorant about what they do. All they ask is that we do nothing. Simple silence. If the myth that “it doesn’t happen here” can prevail, they have won.

This paragraph from Ms. Nita Belles book, In Our Backyard: A Christian Perspective on Human Trafficking in the United States”, is part of the battle call to Christians to take up the fight against slavery as Christians did in the Underground Railroad.

Jesus was clear about Christians responsibility to do something regarding issues such as human trafficking when he told the parable of the Good Samaritan. When asked what it takes to inherit eternal life, Jesus immediately replied we must love God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourselves. To clarify, he pointed to someone who sacrificially cared for a socially outcast stranger who had been stripped, beaten, and left for dead. Jesus said, “Go and do likewise”. In Luke 4:18-19 Jesus describes his mission. It includes evangelism, healing and proclaiming freedom for prisoners, and releasing the oppressed.

• There are more than 27 million slaves in the world
• Human Trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world.
• About 80 percent of all US trafficked individuals are female, about 50 percent are children.
• In addition to the 100,000 youngsters trafficked annually, 244,000 to 325,000 American children are at risk for sexual exploitation and sex trafficking every year.
Read the rest of the article at huffpost.com and become well acquainted with this issue so you can do your part. If you have read this far then you can no longer turn a blind eye and stay silent because if you do you are aiding the traffickers with your silence… Instead become an effective weapon in the fight to end human trafficking. Don’t be too busy to save a life from torture and pain, the loss and the trauma.

Learn to recognize the signs of human trafficking and memorize the numbers to call to get help for the victims. As Christians and other caring people need to step up to do what we can to protect children and others from this horrific crime in our backyard.

I know, it is hard for us to fathom that people can be so evil, greedy and lustful as to put their own desires without compassion or empathy or value on a human life, especially that of a child. There is a growing, burning passion in me to bring Trauma To Triumph Family Ranches to fruition. The need to have a safe, nurturing, residence in a ranch setting with the quietness that, that provides, with the animals that are non-threatening to start the trust building process. Every 30 seconds someone is being stolen into slavery which increases the urgency.

We can pray, donate our time and resources, whatever it is…. we need to take action.

EXPLOITED CHILDREN

SPEAK OUT WITH MONICA

Children exploited either by physical, sexual or emotional abuses, homelessness, depression, neglect or human trafficking are just some of the horrific problems that kids face. In the United States there are over 3 million reports of child abuse annually. Child sexual abuse is on the rise with children younger and younger being desired.

(CNN) Child sex abuse lawsuits are expected to be filed against the Archdiocese of New York, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rockefeller University, the Boy Scouts, Jeffrey Epstein and others on Wednesday, the first day of a one-year window intended to give victims a chance at justice delayed.
The New York Child Victims Act, signed into law on February 14, expands the ways that those who suffered sexual abuse as children can use the legal system to address the damage.
In particular, the law created a one-year period, starting Wednesday, when any adult survivors of child sexual abuse could sue an abuser or a negligent institution, no matter how long ago the abuse took place. After years of legislative stalling, the bill was finally passed and six months ago Gov. Cuomo signed into law the Child Victim Act, which expands the statute of limitations on certain sexual offences perpetuated against minors.
The idea behind the law is that many victims of child sexual abuse keep it a secret for years, well beyond the previous statute of limitations, out of shame and fear. This law gives them a chance to “reclaim their dignity,” said Michael Polenberg of Safe Horizon, a victim assistance non-profit that worked to pass the law.
“For survivors who understand what has happened to them and know in their hearts what happened to them, they get to name that person in court,” he said.
Child sex abuse survivors Joelle Casteix, Jeff Dion, and Bridie Farrell of the Zero Abuse Project said in a joint statement that the law gives victims the power and ability to come forward, find justice and hold people accountable.

“The sheer volume of lawsuits filed today is both simultaneously heartbreaking and encouraging,” they said. “It is indicative of just how deep-rooted the problem of child sex abuse is in our country.”

This new law gives victims some monetary satisfaction and maybe some closure of having their voices heard about what was done to them, BUT it doesn’t help the emotions that will forever be scared, or the triggers that will be a lifelong plaque. It doesn’t give them their childhood back. A child’s mental, emotional and social development are deeply altered. Read the rest of the article – https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/14/us/new-york-child-victims-law/index.html

Wikipedia documents that girls begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12 and the cut off point being age 13.
The life of a child is forever changed. When they should be carefree and enjoying their childhood, they are snatched into a dark nightmare world of pain and horror. Long term effects include but are not limited to are survivors tend to display more destructive behaviors, eating disorders, stress or anxiety, nightmares, amnesia around parts of their childhood, may hinder the growth and development of relationships even hinder the ability to have a normal intimate relationship because its overshadowed by experiencing the sexual abuse and leaving the survivor with a lack of sexual interest, difficulty becoming aroused or feeling emotionally distant or not present during sex OR survivors can display compulsive or inappropriate sexual behaviors.

What is heartbreaking is the sheer volume of child abuse cases and how rampant human trafficking is. Look at the Jeffery Epstein case that’s currently in the news. Jeffery Epstein was a convicted pedophile. According to Merriam-Webster the definition of pedophilia: sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object specifically a prepubescent child.

The New York Times in an article written by Jodi Kantor, Mike McIntire and Vanessa Friedman in July says: A strange thing happened when Jeffrey Epstein came back to New York City after being branded a sex offender: His reputation appeared to rise. People like Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos dined at His Manhattan mansion with a British royal. Mr. Epstein has been photographed at a “billionaires’ dinner” attended by tech titans like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. A page on Harvard Universities’ website lauding his accomplishments. The Clintons, Powerful female friends served as social guarantors: Peggy Siegal, a gatekeeper for A-list events, including him in movie screenings, and Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, a champion of woman’s health, maintained a friendship with him. Including participating in a Caribbean gathering of some of the world’s top scientists, including Dr. Hawking; all taking place over a decade of time. The earliest releases listed Mr. Epstein’s personal contact information; later ones had the names of media consultant. New York Times article goes on to say some of the ersatz news stories found their way onto sites like Forbes and The Huffington Post. Mr. Epstein started mingling with celebrity scientists like Stephan Jay Gould and Steven Pinker and developed friendships with former Harvard president Lawrence H. Summers and law professor Alan Dershowitz, who later helped to defend him. The New York article continues to read the full article go to nytimes.com

The point I’m trying to make is this man Jeffrey Epstein was a known pedophile and a convicted sexual offender for over a decade and yet the above people-maintained friendships with him. How many children’s lives he personally traumatized or destroyed or orchestrated traumatized by others displays a lack of integrity, empathy, a lack of compassion to the lives they were destroying. The loss, the lack of confidence, the low self-esteem, the loneliness and trauma these children experience was not felt by Mr. Epstein and those he associated with. They destroy lives and walk away without apology because they think they are superior.

Before I close, I want to end on a note of hope, or becoming triumphant or victorious.
I would encourage you to read the article How Victims of Sexual Abuse Can Get the Better of Satan by Mary Demuth at christianitytoday.com The article goes on to say: Just over 25 years ago, Christian therapist Dan Allender released The Wounded Heart: Hope for Adult Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse. Now, after decades of clinical practice, Allender has published a follow-up: Healing the Wounded Heart: The Heartache of Sexual Abuse and the Hope of Transformation.

It is more than the biology of trauma it is the spirituality of trauma. Satan is the accuser, he comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy, but the good news is this that Jesus is the healer who comes to give life and to give it more abundantly.

Trauma To Triumph Family Ranches is a much needed residential program that is need to give hope and a place of refuge for the wounded to recover and become whole again.

Human Trafficking

Speak Up with Monica

This is what Wikipedia says about Human Trafficking:
Human Trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labor, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficking or others. This may encompass a spouse in the context of forced marriage, or the extraction of organs or tissues, including for surrogacy and oval removal. Human trafficking can occur within a country or trans-nationally. Human trafficking is a crime against the person because of the violation of the victim’s rights of movement through coercion and because of their commercial exploitation. Human trafficking is the trade in people, especially women and children, and does not necessarily involve the movement of the person from place to place.
According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), forced labor alone (one component of human trafficking) generates an estimated $150 billion in profits per annum as of 2014. In 2012, the ILO estimated that 21 million victims are trapped in modern day slavery. Of these, 14.2 million (68%) were exploited for labor, 4.5 million (22%) were sexually exploited, and 2.2 million (10%) in state-imposed forced labor. The International Labor Organization has reported that child workers, minorities, and irregular migrants are at considerable risk of more extreme forms of exploitation. Statistics shows that over half the world’s 215 million young workers are observed to be in hazardous sectors, including forced sex work and forced street begging. Ethnic minorities and highly marginalized groups of people are highly estimated to work in some of the most exploitative and damaging sectors, such as leather tanning, mining, and stone quarry work.
Human trafficking is thought to be one of the fastest growing activities of trans -national criminal organization.
Human trafficking is modern day slavery. It is the exploitation of men, women and children for forced labor or sex by a third party to profit or gain.

Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas – texasattorneygeneral.gov
Texas, my home state is in the forefront of combatting this hideous crime. In 2016 – in one of his first major initiatives – Attorney General Paxton formed the Human Trafficking and Transnational/Organizational Crime Section (HTTOC), tasked with combatting human trafficking across our state. There are 234,000 Victims of labor trafficking in Texas any given time. This section has already won significant battles against human traffickers, including developed and produced a powerful training video – designed to mobilize all Texans to “Be the One” in the fight against human trafficking.

Texas ranks first in the nation By Drew Knight – kvue.com
According to a report from The Human Trafficking Institute, 74 criminal human trafficking cases made their way through federal courts in Texas last year.
Austin, Texas – The state of Texas has some work to do when it comes to human trafficking, according to a report from The Human Trafficking Institute.
The report, released Tuesday, shows Texas ranked first in the nation for the number of criminal cases that wound their way through the federal courts last year. Of those 74 cases, 68 involved sex trafficking and six involved labor trafficking.
Texas also ranked first for the number of new criminal human trafficking cases in 2018 with 19 initiated cases. That’s well above the national average of five new cases per state or territory.
Of the new criminal cases, the report shows Texas initiated two criminal labor trafficking cases last year, making Texas one of seven states or territories to initiate a new labor trafficking prosecution.

My thoughts
The trafficking industry is a $32 billion industry, that is the third largest criminal industry in the world, only lagging behind drugs and guns. Most being sex slavery and a high percentage being female. Almost impossible to catch and bring to justice. With people becoming more aware and pay attention to their surroundings some victims of trafficking are being noticed but this is very rare.
What is it like to be a slave, well your freedom is taken from you. From the moment you were trafficked you have no more free choice; you do someone else’s bidding. If you become a labor slave, you work long hours with not much to eat and no free time, beatings and endless work, often hidden away not to be noticed by others. If you become a sex slave, your used and abused so many times a day and night that you lose all track of time and your emotions become frozen. I can’t think of anything worse than to have no free choice. Bad treatment and abuse become the norm even though you never become used to it.
A passion burns inside of me of various emotions, anger, sadness, horror of what is happening to people who have been stolen who have been trafficked and why, because of evil, greed, lusts, selfishness…. No one is safe from sexual slavery; a baby, toddler, young child is desired by some evil person because he wants a young tight helpless child to get his gratification from…. that’s the harsh reality, no sugar coating here. Childhoods are stolen, lives are taken as you enter a nightmare underground world.
Atrocities are going on, people dressing up as the opposite sex and reading to kids in the libraries – I saw one video where one of these people was actually on the floor imitating a sexual act…. To young children no less!!!! It’s beyond my understanding why parents would allow a child to participate in such activities. Parents need to be diligent, keep their kids close and yes, we need to get back to a traditional and moral way of life.
I will continue on this topic.
